If this relationship was on stage, what would it look like?

The make up I didn’t wash off my face last night was on my pillow this morning and the mascara that remained made my eyelashes heavy enough to keep my lids closed forever and then honesty entered my vocabulary and lets be honest, I slept in last night’s dress and this morning was fairly short and rather redundant and the best part of the story is the and then moment. I think I’ll...

what I have.
Who says you must be and it must be now? My obligations are self-imposed. No external force said you had to be an artist. No one specified that this life was the only option. Can you even recognize this life? Is it not nearly inconceivable, unfathomable, incomprehensible everyday? We are free, if the entity of we is even appropriate here. No one has bound you, my...

She was nervous about you. Her windows didn’t have screens and her light bulb didn’t have a shade. Those things weren’t going to change. She was nervous about how easy it was for you to get in. She was nervous about how quickly you might singe. She could have turned out the light. It was really about not bearing witness to the destruction anyway. It wasn’t about the...

You were at my door. I didn’t expect to see you here. I almost brought you here, but I didn’t. I treaded ahead. There was dust left where you stayed last night. Somehow it was appropriate. I tend to say what needs to be said and beyond that I find that I’d rather not say anything plainly. There is always another way to get your meaning inside your words. I like to pretend words are an empty container. Of course in real time communication, it’s probably best to keep your vocabulary in check.

When your hand moved across my back and gently wrapped towards the front of my ribcage, I wondered if you could tell. I wondered how you would react if you knew. If it mattered. If it was something you would notice the absence of. If it was something you searched for. I don’t know. Let’s not confuse the issue.

It wasn't so.
It dulls in my mind always. No matter how magnificent, the place gradually gains this odd fog that has never actually been. I remember locations in shades of gray, picture book places, so why do I remember you in full color; inaccurate prismacolors?
